Now Playing Tracks

bajopants:

Looking back: I must have spent a good year playing skitchin splitscreen. It was so rubbish but so much fun.. And the music was especially awful. Skitchin, getting my skitch on

i think my favourite part of this game was seeing how fast you could go, jumping spread-eagle into light posts… hours of side splitting comedy… ahhh to be young again!

Apple TV 2 + Jailbreak + XBMC = FUCK YEAH!

pretty much what the title says…

paid AUD$130 for the Apple TV (2nd gen) only to get it home to find it only runs .mov and .mp4 video files… which pissed me off for about 1 min until i used my nerdy savvy and jailbroke shit shit out of it..

the jailbreak was painless and effortless and now it runs XBMC and all the drippings!

best $130 i have spent in a while!

Part 1 of the 12 part Mortal Kombat: Legacy web series…

looks like it could go both ways, could either be rad… or shit…

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT

also, keep an eye out for Kabal’s headgear (one of my fave characters from the game :D)

The movie “Wanted” was left wanting…

So, i sat down and watched wanted the other night after a conversation with friends the previous night regarding the origins of this movie… I got quite a shock…

Having only really gotten into comics and alike over the last few months, my friends informed me that the movie Wanted was actually based (very, VERY loosely based) on a comic series. Now, the first time I watched Wanted, I thought it was kind of alright, not brilliant, not shit… just alright…

Now, just so you know, my BIGGEST gripe with comic-to-film adaptations is that it has to be done well and in accordance to the original medium… Apparently the creators of the movie version of Wanted don’t believe in…

From the comic - Fox, Sucker, Prof. Solomon Selzer, Mister Rictus & Wesley Gibson

From left to right: Fox, Sucker, Prof. Solomon Selzer, Mister Rictus (the goat fucker guy) and Wesley Gibson.

From what I gather from discussions with friends within the world of comics is that the comic book was more… derranged for lack of a better term.

The movie at least got 2 of the characters from the comic, Wesley Gibson and Fox… But what happened to all the “colourful” characters like Fuckwit (a downs-syndrome version of superman), Shithead (like The Thing from Fantastic Four but made entirely of poop) and Mister Rictus (a notorious goat fucker… seriously)… That would have been a much more interesting movie to watch!

Basically, knowing how far from the source the movie was made it blow epic chunks…
